There is so much to be revealed about Marco and I want to know what happens to Him. They both get up ordinzire the his therapist tries to schedule the next appointment.
An apparently well-regarded French graphic novel, about yet another apathetic white guy who can’t be bothered to work at his job anymore, preferring to meander through life larcnet whine, even as he gets a sober, responsible girlfriend who takes it on herself to gently raise him to adulthood.
Marc is a young man who suffers from panic attacks, hates work, abhors change, loves otdinaire, adores his pet cat, and feels profoundly and obsessively betrayed by a former friend who wasn’t at all what he seemed.

Marco is disturbed by the images he’s taken as a war photographer and moved to the French countryside with his troublesome cat to re-find himself. The “Common Knowledge” section now includes a “Series” field. There are just so many subtle touches and larfenet approaches to the wide array of subjects and ideas that could only be done in a graphic format such as this.
So far, so good. Marc argues that their immigrant friend will be tossed out, those politicians are hateful hucksters, and those jobs aren’t coming back because the labour is done cheaply elsewhere and is likely also being automated.

He gets himself a little cottage in the heart of rural France, where he lives with his cat, Adolf. But as the novel goes on, he has to face his own destructive behaviors, and he starts to see that the “right causes” are possibly as morally bankrupt as the “wrong” ones. After experiencing a spate of memoir-style comic books that weasel in subplots about breeding, I paged through this one diligently before I checked it out of the library.
Guus rated it it was ok Aug 01, Manu Larcenet full name: Relationship with the vet felt trite and stereotypical, so so utterly predictable. The artwork here is excellent. In some cases, as with Chronicles of Narniadisagreements about order necessitate the creation of more than one series.
